The New Beginnings class is a great option for your first steps back into exercise after having a baby. Pregnant mums will also have exercises modified particularly in the third trimester. This class will focus on;
- Movement
- Regaining/strengthening the function of the pelvic floor and core
- Beginning to rebuild strength and aerobic capacity
The class is suitable for women 6 weeks after you have given birth and 8-10 weeks if you have had a c-section. Before you come to a class, we will ask you to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q), which you can view here before signing up. If you are pregnant there are some contraindications that will not allow you to exercise please complete a Pre natal Par Q before attending class or get in touch if you have any questions.
New Beginnings is a gentle strength training studio class based in Re:Hope church Shawlands we use light weights and exercise equipment such as resistance bands.
