Welcome to Bumps and Bubs run by me Laura, I am a personal trainer now specialising in pre and post-natal fitness.

After having my little one I decided to create Bumbs & Bubs to provide pre and post-natal sessions where mums can bring their wee ones to class and where new mums can meet others in a friendly environment.

There are many benefits to excercising both before and after giving birth

Pre-natal benefits

  • Decreased risk of lower back pain
  • Decreased postpartum recovery time
  • Maintenance of physical fitness
  • Building strength
  • Improving sleep
  • Improving psychological well being

Post-natal benefits

  • Improving aerobic function
  • Improve blood circulation
  • Improve mood
  • Decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety
  • Connecting with others at similar stages of the new mum experience

West end classes are based in Anniesland Glasgow at Caledonian Health and Fitness centre. There is plenty of free parking, baby changing facilities and all the space for little ones to roll, crawl and run about while you take part in your class and there’s always time after class for a cup of tea and a chat.

South side classes are based in Re:Hope church, 14 Regwood Street in the heart of Shawlands. We use the upstairs hall and again there is plenty of space for little ones and I won’t rush you out when we are done.

I currently have two different classes post-natal classes available, New Beginnings, is my south side studio class. Think gentle strength training using light weights and resistance bands. Growing Stronger, is a gym based class in the west end with access to CV equipment and more strength training equipment such as barbells. You always take the classes at your own pace and I adapt classes to work for you and if you want more of a challenge we can also scale exercises to suit.

I know that starting something new can be a bit scary, especially when you are already going through one of lifes biggest changes and if you want to reach out for a chat before class that’s please get in touch.
